Frequently asked questions

When is the next US CPI release?

The next US CPI (inflation) report is on Tuesday, 10 November 2026 at 08:30 New York time, with consensus at 3.9%. CPI is the release that moves forex and gold most often: across the last 24 CPI days, gold's first hour covered 48% of a normal day's range.

When is the next NFP (Non-Farm Payrolls)?

The next Non-Farm Payrolls report is on Friday, 4 December 2026 at 08:30 New York time. The last one (Friday, 6 November 2026) came in at 165K against a forecast of 65K.

When is the next FOMC meeting and rate decision?

The Federal Reserve's next rate decision is on Wednesday, 9 December 2026 at 14:00 New York time, with new economic projections (dot plot), followed by the press conference 30 minutes later.

What do the colours and impact bars mean?

Three red bars mark high-impact releases that usually move the market, two orange bars medium impact, and yellow rows are bank holidays (thin liquidity). An actual in green beat the forecast for that currency; red missed it. For unemployment and jobless claims, lower is better, and the colours account for that.

How do gold and NAS100 react to CPI, NFP and FOMC?

CRTLAB measures every release from 1-minute data. In the first hour, gold covers on average 48% of a normal day's range on CPI, 60% on NFP and 67% on FOMC; NAS100 43%, 40% and 62%. Every release is broken down at https://crtlab.pro/news.

Can I change the time zone?

Yes. The calendar opens in your own time zone and remembers it, along with your currency and impact filters. You can switch to New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai, Lagos, Mumbai and others from the time zone menu.

How can I practise trading the news?

Open CRTLAB, pick a past CPI, NFP or FOMC day and replay it candle by candle with your own entries, stop and target. It is free every day, in the browser.
