Terms of Service

1. What CRTLAB is

CRTLAB is a browser-based trading backtesting and replay tool with optional educational content (the strategy material and course). It is software and education only. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, or trading advice, and we do not manage money or place trades on your behalf. See our Risk Disclaimer.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at crtlab@proton.me of any unauthorized use.

3. Plans, billing & payments

• Paid plans (Pro, Lifetime) are sold and processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, who is the seller of record and handles payment and applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to their terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase for continued access to the then-current Service for as long as we operate it.
• We may change prices or plan features prospectively; changes won't affect the period you've already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. The free plan

The free plan provides limited access (a single instrument and a short history window) and may change or be discontinued at any time.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't share, resell, or redistribute your account, the software, or the course content.
• Don't scrape, bulk-download, or attempt to extract the underlying market data or media.
• Don't reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to bypass access controls or tier limits.
• Don't use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including the software, the strategy material, and all course content, is owned by Kai Alan Branca and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access it for your own personal use while your plan is active. You retain ownership of any notes or annotations you create.

7. Market data

Historical market data is provided "as is" for practice and educational purposes and may be delayed, adjusted, or incomplete. It is not a trading feed and should not be relied on for live decisions.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any strategy or content will be profitable. Trading carries substantial risk of loss.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kai Alan Branca will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any trading losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or misuse of the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
