1. What CRTLAB is
CRTLAB is a browser-based trading backtesting and replay tool. It is software only. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, or trading advice, and we do not manage money or place trades on your behalf. See our Risk Disclaimer.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at crtlab@proton.me of any unauthorized use.
3. Plans, billing & payments
- The paid plan (Pro) is sold and processed by our merchant of record, Kai Alan Branca (CRTLAB), who is the seller of record and handles payment and applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to their terms.
- Pro is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically each month until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- A Lifetime plan purchased before 13 September 2026 was a one-time payment and keeps its access without renewing.
- We may change prices or plan features prospectively, with notice before a change affects a renewal. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. The free sample
The free sample provides every instrument, timeframe and tool on the full history, with a weekly replay allowance, and may change or be discontinued at any time.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't share, resell, or redistribute your account or the software.
- Don't scrape, bulk-download, or attempt to extract the underlying market data or media.
- Don't reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to bypass access controls or usage limits.
- Don't use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including the software and its content, is owned by Kai Alan Branca and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access it for your own personal use while your plan is active. You retain ownership of any notes or annotations you create.
7. Market data & third-party services
Historical market data is sourced from Databento, Inc. and the venues it redistributes, and is provided "as is" for practice and educational purposes. It may be delayed, adjusted, or incomplete, it is not a trading feed, and it should not be relied on for live decisions. You may not scrape, export, resell or redistribute it. Charts are powered by TradingView Lightweight Charts™. The data licence, open-source licences and every service we rely on are listed on our Third-Party Services & Licences page, and those parties' own terms also apply to the parts of the Service they provide.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any strategy or content will be profitable. Trading carries substantial risk of loss.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kai Alan Branca will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any trading losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or misuse of the Service.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
