1 standard lot = 100,000 units ($10 per pip).
How a EUR/USD lot works
One standard lot of EURUSD is 100,000 euros. The pair is quoted in dollars, so one pip (0.0001) is worth $10 per lot — $1 per mini lot (0.1) and $0.10 per micro lot (0.01) — whatever the exchange rate.
That fixed $10 is why EURUSD is the easiest market to size: lots = risk ÷ (stop in pips × 10). A 20-pip stop risking $100 is 0.50 lots.
Many brokers quote a fifth decimal (a pipette, 0.00001). Ten pipettes make a pip — enter prices as your platform shows them and the calculator does the rest.

Frequently asked questions
How much is 1 pip on EURUSD worth?
$10 per standard lot, $1 per mini lot and $0.10 per micro lot. It does not change with the rate, because EURUSD is quoted in US dollars.
What lot size should I use for EURUSD on a $1,000 account?
At 1% ($10) with a 20-pip stop: 10 ÷ (20 × 10) = 0.05 lots, five micro lots.
What is a pipette?
The fifth decimal place, 0.00001 — one tenth of a pip. Brokers show it for tighter pricing; it does not change the pip value.
