USDJPY Lot Size Calculator
Size every yen trade to your exact risk. The calculator works out the USDJPY pip value from the rate, so the lot size is right at any price.
1 standard lot = 100,000 units; pip value moves with the USD/JPY rate.
How a USD/JPY lot works
On yen pairs a pip is 0.01, not 0.0001. One standard lot is 100,000 dollars, so one pip is ¥1,000 per lot — and in dollars that is ¥1,000 ÷ the rate: about $6.67 at 150.00.
Because the pip value moves with the rate, USDJPY is the pair people most often size wrong with a fixed "$10 a pip". The calculator divides by your entry price for you.
The worked table below uses a rate of 150.00.

Frequently asked questions
How much is 1 pip on USDJPY worth?
¥1,000 per standard lot, which is $1,000 ÷ the rate in dollars — about $6.67 at 150.00 and $7.14 at 140.00.
Why is a yen pip 0.01?
The yen is quoted to two decimal places (three with pipettes), so the conventional pip is the second decimal, 0.01.
What lot size should I use for USDJPY on a $10,000 account?
At 1% ($100) with a 25-pip stop at 150.00: 100 ÷ (25 × 6.67) ≈ 0.60 lots.
