The short version
Lucid Trading runs 2 evaluation programs for futures traders. The headline one, LucidPro, asks for a 6% profit target with a 4% end-of-day trailing max loss and no daily loss limit. This page puts every Lucid Trading rule set in one table, runs each through thousands of simulated challenges to show what the rules alone do to your odds, and opens a chart that enforces them candle by candle — so you can rehearse the Lucid Trading challenge on real historical data before you pay for one.
Lucid Trading challenge rules, program by program
Rules as published on lucidtrading.com, checked 21 October 2026. Prop firms revise rules often — confirm on their site before you buy; the source for each program is in the fine print below. Account sizes offered: $25k, $50k, $100k, $150k.
What the Lucid Trading rules do to your odds
The same trader passes one firm's challenge far more often than another's, and the difference is the rules, not the trader. To isolate it, each program below was run through the CRTLAB challenge simulator for three traders: a break-even one (50% wins at 1:1 — zero edge, so any pass is the rules' slack plus luck), a small edge (45% at 1:1.5) and a solid edge (45% at 1:2).
Of Lucid Trading's 2 programs, LucidPro leaves a break-even trader the most room (26% pass) and LucidFlex the least (26%).
| Program | Break-even trader | Small edge | Solid edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | 26% | 40.5% | 59.1% |
| LucidFlex | 26% | 40.5% | 59.1% |
Simulated: $100k account, 1% risk per trade, 2 trades a day, 60 trading days or the program's own limit; multi-phase programs multiply each phase's pass rate. Min-day and consistency rules are not simulated. Run your own numbers in the prop firm challenge calculator.
The rule most likely to end a Lucid Trading attempt
On LucidPro the target (6%) is 1.5× the room you have to lose (4%). That gap is the whole difficulty: a trader has to make 1.5 units for every unit they can afford to give back, so a cold streak early in the phase ends more attempts than a lack of edge does.
The max loss trails the end-of-day balance. Intraday swings do not move the floor, but every profitable close lifts it — so a good Monday shrinks the room you have on Tuesday. Holding the floor in view while you replay is the habit this rule demands.
There is no daily loss limit in the evaluation, so the max loss is the only floor — one undisciplined day can use all of it.
In simulation, a trader with a small edge (45% wins at 1:1.5, 1% risk) fails 59.5% of phase-one attempts on the max loss; the ones who pass take a median of 6 trading days.
Rehearse the Lucid Trading challenge on a real chart
The button opens CRTLAB with prop firm mode running on LucidPro rules. The chart's HUD carries your progress to target, the distance to the max loss and the daily floor, and it calls the verdict — passed, phase two, or breached — the moment a rule is hit, exactly as the firm's dashboard would. Every Lucid Trading program and account size is one click away in the rules panel, and so are the other 98 firms in the catalogue.
What makes it a rehearsal rather than a demo account: you replay real historical data, candle by candle, on any of 38 markets from 1-minute to weekly, and you can do in an evening what a live challenge takes a month to show you. Run the same week three times with three different risk sizes and watch which one the end-of-day trailing floor catches.
There is no account to fund and no time limit on practice — the replay waits for you. When your rehearsals pass consistently, you know the edge survives Lucid Trading's rules before the fee is spent.

LucidPro: none; LucidFlex: none.
What is the Lucid Trading profit target?

Is the Lucid Trading simulator free?
CRTLAB is free to try. After the sample, unlimited replay is $14.99 a month, cancel any time. Prop firm mode itself is never behind a paywall.
