The short version
Alpha Capital Group runs 5 evaluation programs for forex and CFD traders. The headline one, Alpha One, asks for a 10% profit target with a 6% intraday trailing max loss and a 4% daily loss limit. This page puts every Alpha Capital Group rule set in one table, runs each through thousands of simulated challenges to show what the rules alone do to your odds, and opens a chart that enforces them candle by candle — so you can rehearse the Alpha Capital Group challenge on real historical data before you pay for one.
Alpha Capital Group challenge rules, program by program
Rules as published on alphacapitalgroup.uk, checked 21 October 2026. Prop firms revise rules often — confirm on their site before you buy; the source for each program is in the fine print below. Account sizes offered: $5k, $10k, $25k, $50k, $100k, $200k.
What the Alpha Capital Group rules do to your odds
The same trader passes one firm's challenge far more often than another's, and the difference is the rules, not the trader. To isolate it, each program below was run through the CRTLAB challenge simulator for three traders: a break-even one (50% wins at 1:1 — zero edge, so any pass is the rules' slack plus luck), a small edge (45% at 1:1.5) and a solid edge (45% at 1:2).
Of Alpha Capital Group's 5 programs, Alpha Pro 8% leaves a break-even trader the most room (25.9% pass) and Alpha One the least (21.2%).
| Program | Break-even trader | Small edge | Solid edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha One | 21.2% | 43.9% | 67.3% |
| Alpha Pro 6% | 24.1% | 53.6% | 77.8% |
| Alpha Pro 8% | 25.9% | 64.2% | 88.2% |
| Alpha Pro 10% | 22.2% | 67.3% | 93% |
| Alpha Swing | 22.2% | 67.3% | 93% |
Simulated: $100k account, 1% risk per trade, 2 trades a day, 60 trading days or the program's own limit; multi-phase programs multiply each phase's pass rate. Min-day and consistency rules are not simulated. Run your own numbers in the prop firm challenge calculator.
The rule most likely to end a Alpha Capital Group attempt
On Alpha One the target (10%) is 1.7× the room you have to lose (6%). That gap is the whole difficulty: a trader has to make 1.7 units for every unit they can afford to give back, so a cold streak early in the phase ends more attempts than a lack of edge does.
The max loss trails intraday, including open profit: a trade that runs 6% in your favour and comes back to break-even has used your entire allowance without closing a loss. This is the rule that catches traders who let winners breathe, and it is the first thing to rehearse.
There is a 4% daily loss limit, measured from the higher of the day's starting balance and equity. With only 6% in total, two bad days are the whole account.
You need at least 1 trading day before a phase can pass, so a single big day does not finish it.
In simulation, a trader with a small edge (45% wins at 1:1.5, 1% risk) fails 56.1% of phase-one attempts on the max loss; the ones who pass take a median of 13 trading days.
Rehearse the Alpha Capital Group challenge on a real chart
The button opens CRTLAB with prop firm mode running on Alpha One rules. The chart's HUD carries your progress to target, the distance to the max loss and the daily floor, and it calls the verdict — passed, phase two, or breached — the moment a rule is hit, exactly as the firm's dashboard would. Every Alpha Capital Group program and account size is one click away in the rules panel, and so are the other 98 firms in the catalogue.
What makes it a rehearsal rather than a demo account: you replay real historical data, candle by candle, on any of 38 markets from 1-minute to weekly, and you can do in an evening what a live challenge takes a month to show you. Run the same week three times with three different risk sizes and watch which one the intraday trailing floor catches.
There is no account to fund and no time limit on practice — the replay waits for you. When your rehearsals pass consistently, you know the edge survives Alpha Capital Group's rules before the fee is spent.
